The story of God’s tea saving the soldiers’ life

In 1379 of Ming Dynasty years, to resist the Ming tyranny, a hero called Qin Hou raised his flag and formed an army by the side of the Maoyan river of Zhangjiajie which are the original name of Moyeam tea(which has the similar pronounce of manyan & Mei, Man Yan is the name of Man Yan river, and Mei is to describe the frosty appearance). We called the Qing Hou’s army Volunteer Army who killed the rich to help the poor, and it become strong group gradually. The Emperor of Ming dynasty, Zhu Yuan Zhang was afraid that Qing Hou will take his land, so he sent 250 thousands of soldiers to conquer the volunteer army immediately. After half years of battle, because of the large number of Ming’s army, the Volunteer army was trapped by the area of Maoyan River. Lack of food, and many soldiers were wound after long period of battle, What’s worse, the wet weather in the mountain, many soldiers’ wounds began to fester, and even they got asthma, so the volunteers army 

was demoralized nearly. In this critical moment, a 100 years old man took a backpack of moyeam plant from the mist Wu Ling Mountain, he milled the moyeam plant into powder, and took it to the solders to eat and applied the moyeam plant to the wound. The asthma, wounds, diarrhea, cold, inflammation and other diseases was effectively limited, then the volunteer army could fight with the Ming army again. In that times, Qin Hou respected himself as the King, and moyeam tea was used to anti-inflammation and saved soldiers’ life who ware trapped in the original forest area in Zhangjiajie for 7 years.

The story of God’s tea saving the soldiers’ life was spread today which also add legend to the Moyeam tea. And since then the local Tujia People took the Moyeam tea as the god’s tea and use it to keep health and cure disease. Thousands of years, the Tujia people drink the moyeam tea from generations to generations. The local Tujia People was quite strong and there are many people of 100 years old locally. They never got high blood pressure, high blood fat, fat problems or caner disease. They think that the special fragrance and taste of the moyeam tea could cure disease and keep health which is the god’s gift, so the moyeam tea is called the “Ganoderma Tea” or God’s tea.
